This Agreement is made between Crunchy Life Australia ("Owner") and the Hirer.

1. Hire Package Inclusions

The Hirer will receive the following equipment as part of the Elle TENS Plus hire:

  • 1x Elle TENS Plus unit
  • 4x Self-adhesive maternity electrodes (discard after use)
  • 2x Lead wires
  • 4x AA batteries (2x spare)
  • 1x Carry pouch
  • 1x Easy-release neck cord
  • 1x Electrode placement chart
  • 1x Instruction guide (auto download upon booking)

All equipment, unless otherwise specified, is to be returned to Crunchy Life Australia at the end of the hire period.

2. Hire Period

The standard hire period is 5 weeks unless otherwise arranged in writing.
Late returns may incur additional charges.
Please advise as soon as possible if additional days will be required.

3. Hire Fee 

  • Hire Fee: $130 (inc. $50 refundable deposit)
  • Payment can be made via: Bank Transfer / Card / PayPal / Afterpay

4. Conditions of Use

By booking online, the Hirer agrees to the following terms:

Responsibility:

  • The Hirer is fully responsible for the correct, safe, and reasonable use of all hired equipment.
  • Crunchy Life Australia is not liable for any injury, death, damage, or loss resulting from the use or misuse of the equipment.
  • The equipment must not be altered, lent, sub-hired, or otherwise passed on to third parties.

Health & Safety:

  • The Hirer agrees to obtain medical clearance from their chosen healthcare provider before using the TENS unit, especially in relation to labour.

5. Cleaning and Return

The Hirer agrees to return all items by the end of their hire period in clean, good working condition.

$50 Refundable Deposit:

This will be returned within 7 business days, provided all items are returned undamaged, clean, and in good working order. Please note: individual use items (such as electrode pads) are not required to be returned.

6. Cancellation and Refund Policy

  • Cancellations made 14 days or more before the hire start date will receive a full refund.
  • Cancellations made less than 14 days prior to the hire start date may forfeit 50% of the hire fee unless exceptional circumstances apply.
  • No refund will be given once the equipment has been dispatched.

7. Acknowledgements

By booking online, the Hirer consents to this agreement, acknowledges, and agrees that:

  • They are hiring the equipment at their own risk.
  • Crunchy Life Australia is not a medical provider and offers no medical advice.
  • It is the Hirer's responsibility to ensure the equipment is used correctly and safely.

8. Instructions for Setup & Use

Setup:

  1. Insert batteries into the TENS unit.
  2. Attach the electrodes as per the included placement chart.
  3. Select a comfortable intensity level for pain relief during labour.

Use:

  • Use the Boost button during peak contractions for additional relief.

Note: The TENS unit must not be used in water.

Cleaning:

  1. Clean the electrodes using a damp cloth (do not submerge in water).
  2. Return all items clean and in working condition.

9. Liability

  • The Hirer is responsible for ensuring the safety of all those involved in the use of the TENS unit.
  • Crunchy Life Australia does not accept liability for any loss, damage, or injuries arising from the use of the equipment.

10. Damage to Items

  • The Hirer is responsible for any damage to the TENS unit or accessories.
  • Notify Crunchy Life Australia within 72 hours if any equipment is missing or damaged.
  • If not reported within this period, refunds are not guaranteed.

11. Late Return of Hired Items

  • Late Return Fee: $10 per day for each day the equipment is overdue.
  • Legal Action: If items are not returned within 14 days, Crunchy Life Australia reserves the right to pursue legal action to recover the equipment.

12. Payment/Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations must be made 14 days prior to the hire start date to receive a full refund.
  • No refund will be given once equipment has been dispatched.

13. Waiver

  • By completing this booking, the Hirer confirms they have read, understood, and agree to the terms and conditions set out by Crunchy Life Australia.
  • The Hirer accepts full responsibility for the hired items during the agreed hire period and will return items in the same condition as received.

A copy of this agreement will be emailed at the time of booking and will be available upon request.
